Preliminary lectures are short presentations that give you important introductory information about the paper.

They provide an overview of your enrolled papers, including key information about course structure, expectations, and how to get started. Most departments hold preliminary lectures for semester 1 and full-year papers.

They are normally held on the Friday before the start of semester 1. For StudyLink purposes, this date is considered the official start date for most courses.

Once the times and venues have been confirmed, the timetable will be available on the website.

There are no preliminary lectures for semester 2 papers. For semester 2 paper information, contact the relevant teaching department directly.
