For a competitive application for University of Otago postgraduate scholarships and awards, you are likely to need a grade point average of at least a high A-/low A in your 300-level and 400-level papers or master's degree (note that these are Otago grades; international grades may translate slightly differently). Other research experience may also be considered.

If you are an international student who has applied for admission in a coursework master's programme, you will automatically be considered for the International Excellence Scholarship. You are not able to hold both the University of Otago Coursework Master's Scholarship and the International Excellence Scholarship.
