Tuition fees receipts can be obtained via eVision.
How do I request a tuition fee receipt
International students
New students: Once you have received your Offer of Place and have made your payment, you can proceed with requesting a receipt.
Returning students: Once you have received your Confirmation of Enrolment letter (which you request from the Student Visa Team in the International Office) and have made your payment, you can proceed with requesting a receipt. Attach your Confirmation of Enrolment letter to your receipt request.

- Log in to eVision.
- Click Request tuition fee receipt from the My Finances section of the dashboard/homepage.
- Select the academic year you are requesting your tuition fee receipt for from the drop-down menu.
- Click Request receipt.
- Click Exit.
If you wish to add a note or upload a document for Student Finance as part of your tuition fee receipt request, once you have completed the above steps you need to:

- Click View or request tuition fee receipt for visa purposes.
- Click View on the pending request.
- Click Upload document to add a document or note to your request.
- Enter your note or upload your document.
- Click Submit – this will automatically update your pending request with Student Finance.
Your receipt will be sent to you via eVision. You will receive an alert notification when your receipt has been issued. Open the alert from your eVision portal and click the Download button. You can then access your receipt from the Downloads area of your browser.
- Tuition fee receipts can only be issued once your payment has been received in the University of Otago's bank account. It can take several days for funds to clear from the time that you make payment
- Student Finance recommend that new students make payment as soon as possible after receiving their Offer of Place to allow sufficient time to receive an official receipt from the Student Finance office and allow time for the student visa application
- If you need to send your receipt onto an agent, you will need to do this once you have downloaded the receipt in eVision
The eVision Account Summary is not suitable for visa application purposes.
