How do I request a tuition fee receipt as an international student
Tuition fee receipts for international students are issued through eVision once payment has been received by the University.
New international students
After receiving your Offer of Place and making your payment, you can request a receipt by following the steps below. Make a copy of your payment transaction to attach to your request.
Returning international students
After receiving your Confirmation of Enrolment letter and making your payment, you can request a receipt. You can request a Confirmation of Enrolment letter from the Student Visa team – refer to the related article:
To request a tuition fee receipt as an international student:
- Log in to eVision.
- From the dashboard, go to My Finances.
- Select Request tuition fee receipt.
- Enter the required payment information.
- Attach any relevant documentation, such as:
- A copy of your payment transaction (new students), or
- Your Confirmation of Enrolment letter (returning students)
- Select Request receipt.
- Select Exit.
Your receipt is sent through eVision. An alert appears when the receipt is issued.
To download your receipt:
- Open the alert in eVision and select Download PDF, or
- Go to Finance and open View or Request tuition fee receipt for visa purposes, then check Completed Requests
Additional information for international students:
- Receipts are issued only after payment has cleared into the University of Otago bank account. This can take several days from the payment date
- Student Finance recommend making payment as soon as possible after receiving an Offer of Place to allow time for receipt issuing and student visa application processing
- If you are sending the receipt to an agent, download it from eVision and forward it yourself
- The eVision Account Summary is not suitable for visa application purposes
How do I request a tuition fee receipt as a domestic student
Domestic students can access tuition fee receipts directly in eVision:
- Log in to eVision.
- From the dashboard, select See my account and payment information.
- Select My account.
- Choose the relevant year.
- Your receipt or receipts appear under Less payments at the bottom of the page.
How do I request a tuition fee receipt as a Pathway and English Language Centre student
Pathway and English Language Centre students request receipts by email:
- Send an email to: student.finance@otago.ac.nz
- Include in your email:
- Your full name (including any middle names)
- Date of birth
- The programme you have applied for
- Your address or phone number as listed in your application.
- The receipt is sent to the email address recorded in EBS once tuition fee payments have been received.
