If you need a letter from the University of Otago to confirm you are a full-time student for passport renewal, you can download it from your eVision portal, under Programmes and Papers.
Apply for a new passport well before your current passport expires. When you receive the new passport, you will need to apply for a new student visa or visa transfer.
If your passport or visa expires, you will have restricted access to student services and resources. The process to reinstate access will differ based on if you are in Dunedin, or not in Dunedin at this time.
If you are in Dunedin, take your original passport and a copy of your current student electronic visa (eVisa) to our International Office as soon as possible so our records can be updated. Your access will then be reinstated.
If you are not in Dunedin, or if you require further assistance with visa-related matters, contact Student Visa Services at: student.visa@otago.ac.nz
