Casual room bookings are available for University of Otago pool lecture theatres, computer laboratories, and centralised departmental rooms. These bookings can be requested by staff, students, and members of the public.
Casual bookings apply to events that are not part of scheduled teaching, such as lectures or timetabled classes.
Pool rooms and lecture theatres
On the Dunedin campus, technical support is available for pool lecture theatres when arranged in advance. Assistance with audiovisual equipment during a booking is provided by the Lecture Theatre Technician

Technical support is not provided for centralised departmental rooms. Support for these rooms is managed by the relevant department.

Security and room access
During normal hours, access issues with booked rooms can be addressed by the relevant support staff or the lecture theatres hotline.

Cancellations
Cleaning, heating, and staffing arrangements are organised in advance for bookings.
If a cancellation is made with less than five days' notice, the University may charge the full booking cost.
Hire charges
External hire charges apply to pool rooms.
For centralised departmental rooms, or rooms not listed, hire charges are set by the relevant department
Timetable Services manage teaching timetables and teaching spaces, liaising with academic departments to "stream" students into lecture theatres and seminar rooms.
