There is no fixed deadline for accepting or declining an offer of place. However, if you are applying for general bachelors' degrees, you are encouraged to decide as soon as possible because you cannot proceed to course enrolment until after accepting the offer. Deadlines often apply to other phases in your enrolment.

Offers for places in specialised programmes may require that you decide by a specific date, after which any outstanding offers may lapse. If there is a deadline, it will be listed on your offer letter.

Offers are only made for the current year of study. If you accept an offer, you can still cancel your application later if necessary. You can also enrol in more than one course and later cancel or unenroll from one or multiple courses (such as a joined Law and Science degree).

If you are waiting on an offer from one of the Health Sciences Professional Programmes, you can enroll in a non-specialised course (such as a general bachelor’s degree) and even attend classes for that course until you hear back about your offer. The Health Sciences Division website provides further information about this process.
