If you have applied for one or more of the Health Sciences undergraduate professional programmes (HSUPP) but are unable to commence your studies in the upcoming academic year, you can request a deferral. Requests for deferral will be considered only on the basis of unforeseen serious medical grounds or other exceptional circumstances that arise after the application deadline. For deferral to be approved, you need to provide evidence showing that you will be able to resume study the following year. This should be applied for as soon as possible.

Once the deadline to accept offers has passed, it is not possible to accept a lapsed offer to a Health Sciences Professional Programme. It is best to accept an offer within the deadline or seek deferral.
