The University of Otago Mailroom offers a range of mail options.

You can send personal letters and parcels domestically and internationally through the University Mailroom. You may also arrange a pickup for your items through the Mailroom. Parcels and packets under 2kg and 70mm thick are sent as a packet post. These require the University permit post stamp.

The Mailroom accepts EFTPOS and PayWave credit payments for services.

The mailroom is open 7:00am to 8:30am and 9:30am to 4:00pm and can be found in the basement of the Clocktower (Registry) building, room B36. It can be accessed via the main front door.

To go out on time, mail items need to be with the Mailroom by 2:15pm. Courier items need to be with the Mailroom by 3:15pm.

Student mailing solutions

At the end of each year, a "student special" service is available. Custom University boxes are provided to students enabling them to send their personal belongings home. The pricing is heavily discounted and is available from all residential colleges, OUSA, and the Mailroom.
