Distance learning involves study using course material, interacting with lecturers and other students in the class and completing assessments.

Some papers involve attendance at on-campus residential schools. To see which papers may involve attendance at an on-campus residential school, look in the prospectus. Papers which do not require in-person attendance at any course component in New Zealand are marked with a globe icon.

You will need internet access to study by distance learning. Most courses provide their course material and interact with students through a web-based learning environment such as Blackboard or Moodle and use web conferencing (e.g. Zoom) for live interactions.

The University provides Microsoft Office 365 for students.

You will also need email access to receive any important communications from the University.
