- Kennards Hire – discounted hire rates for a wide range of equipment
- Mitre 10 Mega Dunedin – discounts at point of sale, and will discuss pricing at various departments, especially timber
- Noel Leeming – staff discounts on technology and appliances apply nationwide
- Otago Museum Shop – 10% discount to staff and students on selected products
- PB Tech – staff purchasing programme offers discounts on online purchases
- Placemakers – monthly specials for staff on building materials and hardware
- Total Carpet Services – 10% discount on cleaning services
- University Bookshop – staff discounts on full price items
- Vehicle Testing New Zealand – 10% discount on Warrant of Fitness at Dunedin testing stations
Staff can access discounted travel:

- Discounted airfares with Air New Zealand, Emirates, Lufthansa, Qantas, and Singapore Airlines when booked through one of the University travel agents (see below)
