Timetable Services manage teaching timetables and teaching spaces, liaising with academic departments to "stream" students into lecture theatres and seminar rooms.

Timetable information for staff

Casual room bookings (i.e. bookings for events other than lectures and other timetabled classes) for "pool" lecture theatres, computer laboratories, and centralised departmental rooms can be requested through Resource Booker. All Otago staff and students have access to Resource Booker and you will be able to view the rooms/resources that you have the permission level to book.

About Resource Booker

If your department’s rooms have not been migrated to Resource Booker, and you were previously able to access them through Web Room Booker, you will still be able to access them there until they have been migrated. If you previously emailed Timetables for bookings in departmental rooms, you will need to continue to do so.

University of Otago students and members of the public can request bookings for "pool” lecture theatres/seminar rooms through the external booking form. Please see the Casual Room Bookings website for more information and to make a booking:

Casual Room Bookings

"Pool" lecture theatres are so-called because they are the group of lecture theatres used by Timetable Services for scheduling each semester's classes. Detailed information about most University pool lecture theatres is available on the ITS website:

List of Lecture Theatres

Technical support

The lecture theatre technicians can help you take full advantage of each ITS-managed pool lecture theatre's facilities. Contact them prior to your booking to set up a time for training.
