You can show your PowerPoint presentation in an ITS-managed pool lecture theatre by plugging your USB drive into the lecture theatre computer. Remember to close files and eject the USB drive before removing it.

You can also transfer the file across the University network to the local lecture theatre file dropbox using the following instructions:

Using Windows

  1. Click on the Start (Windows flag) button at the bottom left of your screen. Select Run if available, or click in the search box.
  2. Type in \\storage.hcs-p01.otago.ac.nz\its-alldropboxes and press Enter.
  3. At this stage you will be prompted to Enter Network Password. Enter: registry\your University username (e.g. registry\gfdsa61p) and your University password.
  4. Drag and drop your file into the lecture theatre dropbox you wish to use.
  5. You can open the dropbox to see its contents. If you can't see the file you have just put into it, refresh the folder by pressing the function F5 key.

Using macOS

  1. From the Go menu in the Finder choose Connect to Server.
  2. Type in smb://storage.hcs-p01.otago.ac.nz/its-alldropboxes
  3. Connect as Registered User by entering your University username (e.g. gfdsa61p) and your University password.
  4. Drag and drop your file into the lecture theatre dropbox you wish to use.
  5. You can open the dropbox to check its contents.

If you are unable to delete files from the dropbox from your own computer, you will need to do this on the computer in the lecture theatre.
