All staff are provisioned with a username when working at the University of Otago, regardless of contract. This is provided automatically when you start with the University.
Your username is made up of the first three letters of your last name, and the first two letters of your first name, followed by two numbers and the letter P. For example, bonja07p.
You are also given a temporary password, that you must change within seven days in the Identity Self-Service Console.
Your University of Otago staff username and password are used to access online resources. These may include, but are not limited to:
- Blackboard
- Business Objects reporting
- eVision
- AskOtago Portal
- Job vacancies (internal)
- Library resources
- Staff WebMail
- Staff Web Kiosk
- UO WIFI
