The University of Otago holds a range of events including:
- Conferences and symposia
- Graduation events
- Marketing expos and student recruitment
- International delegation events
- Public lectures
- Small events
The Events Hub provides management and support services for University events.
It is also possible to arrange external events using University facilities.
External events are not managed by the Events team.
The Events team co-ordinates events such as student recruitment events, conferences and symposia, IPLs, convocation and student orientation, and large public lectures. Not included are teaching and training events, small departmental events and seminars, and staff functions.

Promoting or advertising events
Your divisional or campus Marketing Adviser can co-ordinate advertising and marketing and, if required, seek communications advice on whether journalists in newsrooms may also be interested in preview stories about the events:
