The Events Team is responsible for a calendar of annual events:

- Hands on at Otago
- Orientation Week
- Scholarship welcome events
- Inaugural Professional Lectures
- Recruitment Expos
- Postgraduate Recruitment events
- Staff Awards
- Blues and Golds awards
- Careers Advisors Conference
- Development and Alumni Relations Office led - Alumni Engagement Events
The Events Team, where possible, also provides end to end event management and support services for University events. Their services do not cover supporting internal facing events, teaching and training events, public lectures, small departmental events/seminars, or staff functions.
It is also possible to arrange external events using University facilities, these events are not managed by the Events Team.

Promoting or advertising events
Your divisional or campus Marketing Adviser can co-ordinate advertising and marketing and if required, seek communications advice on whether journalists in newsrooms may also be interested in preview stories about your event:
