IT Training and Development offers courses for a wide range of computer applications to suit different skill levels and group sizes. These can be booked online and are available to staff, students, and the general public.

Most courses are free to University of Otago staff, apart from courses with external trainer costs.

Currently, most courses taught by IT Training and Development staff are free to students (subsidised by the University):

If you are a postgraduate student, type "postgrad" into the Search box on the IT Training page to find courses that are recommended for you.

If you are unable to get to any scheduled IT Training sessions, individual tuition can be arranged to take place at a time and place to suit you. If you want to get up to speed quickly in a particular software application or system, the training can be tailored to your needs. IT Training can run a special course on a topic if several people in your department (staff or students) need it. The training is usually held in the IT Training rooms unless you wish to host it in your own space.
