High-Capacity Central File Storage (HCS, also referred to as "file share" or "shared drive") supplies easily-accessed file storage from your desktop. Files are automatically backed up and the system can cater for varying storage requirements.
Who is this available to
University staff. Postgraduate students who require access to an HCS will need to have this requested by a staff member.
How do I access a High-Capacity Storage (HCS) shared drive
To access an HCS shared drive:
Postgraduate student
- Ask a staff member to make the request on your behalf as the form requires a staff login (refer below).
Staff
- Gather the following information for existing shares:
- The path to the HCS share: Find an HCS/shared drive file path
- Usernames to be added/removed
- Open the High-Capacity Storage Request form.
- Select Existing or New.
- Fill in the relevant details.
- Submit the form.
