Staff and students at the University of Otago Wellington (UOW) campus can email: Luke Pilkinton-Ching for the creation of an academic poster. Include the following information in your email:
Write a 250- to 350-word summary of your poster. Keep in mind your "conversion" or "learning intention" to keep your summary focused.
Include the following in your summary:
- Title – something short and snappy is more likely to draw people in and encourage them to read more
- Authors/contributors
- Introduction/background
- Aim
- Method
- Results including charts and/or tables
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgments
- Contacts
- Conflict of interest statement
Attach to your email any other resource material that could/should be included:
- Images at the highest resolution possible
- Tables/charts (an Excel spreadsheet makes it easy to import data)
YouTube video with advice on creating research posters
Designs and previews will be discussed, and alterations made, before posters are finalised.
You will be sent a "print-ready" version of your poster once you are happy with it.
