The Faculty of Dentistry provides appointments to members of the community for a range of needs.
Who is this available to
General dental treatment is available to people who live in the Otago catchment area. Urgent treatment is available to anyone depending on availability.
How do I make an appointment

Email dental.clinicaladministration@otago.ac.nz - Seek a referral from a private dentist or contracted service.
Patients of the Faculty can also be referred from one service discipline to another by way of clinician-to-clinician referral.
Not all referrals, self or otherwise, are accepted.
If you are a new patient and your appointment is accepted, you will first need to enrol by completing a patient enrolment form and health questionnaire.
How much does it cost
Treatment costs vary, depending on the treatments required, whether you have a community services card, and what stage of training the provider is at.
Initial appointments begin between NZ$98 and NZ$207. Any additional costs will be discussed with the patient prior to treatmen.
