The University of Otago's Wi-Fi network, eduroam, also provides free and secure Wi-Fi in many places nationwide and worldwide. Using the geteduroam app to connect will ensure that you can access this benefit.
Once you are connected, you can access eduroam at participating institutions. eduroam will check your identity with the University of Otago, then connect you, eliminating the need to log in with different credentials.
Visitors to the University of Otago from other eduroam institutions can connect to the University Wi-Fi in the same way.
Usernames and passwords are not shared off-campus.
Globally, eduroam is used at universities, research centres, polytechnics, libraries, hospitals, and more.
