Locating your computer name

Your computer name can usually be found on a label on your device. If not, it can be found at the following location on your computer:

Windows 11

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to System.
3. Your device name will be listed at the top of the system settings page.

Windows 10

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to System > About.
3. Your device name will be listed under Device specifications.

Mac 13 Ventura, Mac 14 Sonoma

1. Choose Apple menu > System Settings.
2. In the sidebar, click General.
3. On the right, click About (you may need to scroll down).
4. The computer name for your Mac appears at the top of the About settings.

Mac 12 Monterey and earlier

1. Click on the Apple menu > System Preferences.
2. Click Sharing.
3. The computer name appears at the top of Sharing Preferences.
