University-affiliated residential colleges
The affiliated colleges were originally built by Presbyterian and Anglican churches to provide spaces for students to live on the University of Otago campus in Dunedin. Knox and Selwyn Colleges are the two oldest residential colleges in New Zealand, dating back to 1909 and 1893 respectively, and their buildings are considered historical landmarks. These colleges provide their own facilities and services.
