If you have taken a gap of less than two years of study, you are considered a returning student. Returning students are normally exempt from having their programme applications assessed under the Entry Pathway system, however they are still subject to the standard provisions of the University's Academic Progress Policy and the admission and progression regulations for specific programmes.

If you have taken a gap of more than two years, you are considered a recommencing student. You may be required to provide the same evidence as for a first year student and are subject to the Entry Pathway system:
