Most mobile devices connect seamlessly with the University of Otago's wireless network, however some devices (entry-level models, less popular makes, and older devices) will not. The following lists outline the recommended mobile phones for use at the University. Note that the University is unable to support the non-recommended models.

802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 2.4+5GHz — Remaining Apple and Samsung phone (2015 to now)
802.11 a/b/g/n 2.4GHz — Problematic phones which work very poorly with new Wi-Fi. These devices were released before 2013.
