When you formally accept a casual appointment with the University of Otago (via the online CASPER system), you need to have your identity verified/confirmed before you can be paid.

How do I verify my identity in CASPER

Verification is a quick and simple process that takes place at one of our locations with a few questions and viewing your photo ID:

  1. First, find out if you need to verify in person.
  2. Check what photo ID is required.
  3. Visit your nearest campus to complete your verification. No appointment is necessary, apart from at the Auckland Centre. 
  4. If you are unable to come into one of our campuses, then verification can take place via video conference. Contact AskOtago to arrange a time.
