You can request an extension to your master’s research programme if you need more time to complete your thesis due to exceptional circumstances.
How do I extend a research programme
If you need more time to submit your master's thesis:
- Discuss the situation with your supervisor and head of department to obtain support.
- Make an application in writing to the appropriate divisional pro-vice-chancellor to request an extension to the time limit. Applications should be supported by the head of department and dean (where applicable).
