JumpStart Physics is a Summer School course to prepare students to confidently undertake the PHSI 191 Biological Physics course.

Who is this available to

JumpStart Physics is tailored to students who need extra training in secondary school physics and mathematics, having not taken Year 12 (NCEA Level 2) Physics.

How do I apply for JumpStart Physics

To apply for JumpStart Physics:

  1. Download the JumpStart Physics Enrolment Form (PDF 274KB).
  2. Complete the form.
  3. Return the form via email to physics.office@otago.ac.nz
  4. Pay the tuition fee by following the instructions on the form.

How much does it cost

The course costs NZ$990 for domestic students and NZ$1570 for international students.

There is no cost to apply, however a confirmed place will only be granted to students who have paid their fees.
