Apply for limited full-time status

Eligible students can apply for limited full-time status to be treated by StudyLink as full-time for the purposes of student loans and allowances. Eligible students will first need to have completed a declaration and be fully enrolled into the applicable study year.

How do I apply for limited full-time status

To apply to StudyLink for limited full-time status:

1. Complete the StudyLink - Limited Full-Time Status application form (PDF 282KB).
2. Request a statement from an authorised staff member in support of your limited full-time status application:
   • If your application is due to being a finalist, contact AskOtago to request a statement. You do not need to send your application form to AskOtago.
   • If your application is health-related, contact the Disability Information and Support office
3. Send the completed form and the statement provided to StudyLink.
