Academic orientation at the University of Otago takes place during the first week of semester 1.
Orientation includes activities and events to help you settle into your new academic environment. Most papers also hold preliminary lectures on the Friday of orientation week, to help you adjust to your classes.
Otago University Students' Association (OUSA) also holds a range of orientation week events on campus.
