Academic orientation at the University of Otago takes place during the week prior to semester 1.
Orientation includes the transition lecture, UNIO101: University transition and success, plus activities and events to help you settle into your new academic environment. Many papers also hold preliminary lectures on the Friday of orientation week, to help you adjust to your classes.
Otago University Students' Association (OUSA) also holds a range of orientation week events on campus.
