Students need to meet minimum standards of academic performance.
Students who do not pass more than half their course in a year are offered advice, and they are placed on conditional enrolment in their next year of study.
If a student does not make satisfactory progress during their time on conditional enrolment, they will be suspended from the University of Otago for the subsequent two calendar years.
