How do I withdraw under exceptional circumstances
To withdraw under exceptional circumstances:
- Log in to eVision.
- In Programme and papers, click on year and programme to display Actions then click on Change of Course.
- Click the Change button on the Withdraw from papers (after last day to delete) option.
- Select the programme from which you wish to withdraw papers from, then select the paper or papers you wish to withdraw from, and confirm your withdrawal.
- On the next page click Apply for exceptional withdrawal.
- Provide the information as requested for your application and upload your supporting documentation if it is available (this can be provided at a later date but must be within 14 days of your application).
- Complete the declaration for exceptional withdrawal.
If circumstances beyond your control prevent you from submitting an application via eVision, email: exceptional.withdrawal@otago.ac.nz detailing your reasons for requesting exceptional withdrawal and listing the paper(s) you intend to withdraw from.
Tickets received in CRSM about exceptional withdrawal should be assigned to the SE – Exceptional Withdrawal queue. This includes any requests for a review of decision.
Staff in Student Records manage these requests via the SE – Exceptional Withdrawal queue so AskOtago staff can contact the Student Records team for an exceptional withdrawal query.
