The process of assessing and recording prior non-credentialled learning recognised for admission purposes is called recognition of prior learning (RPL). Any credit granted is termed "RPL credit".

How do I apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) credit

To submit an application for recognition of prior non-credentialled learning (RPL credit):

  1. Contact the department/school offering the paper:
  2. Provide them with information about the learning you have done in the past.
  3. They will advise if you can be credited with the paper/s.

Applications for RPL credit must normally be submitted by 30 November (for candidates intending to enrol in semester 1 of the following year) or 30 May (for candidates intending to enrol for semester 2).
