The process of assessing and recording prior non-credentialled learning recognised for admission purposes is called recognition of prior learning (RPL). Any credit granted is termed "RPL credit". To gain this credit, you need to submit an application.
How do I apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) credit
To submit an application for recognition of prior non-credentialled learning (RPL credit):
- Contact the department/school offering the paper:
- School of Māori, Pacific & Indigenous Studies — Te Tumu for MAOR 102, MAOR 108, MAOR 111 and MAOR 112
- School of Surveying for SURV 101
- Provide them with information about the learning you have done in the past.
- They will advise if you can be credited with the paper/s.
Applications for RPL credit must normally be submitted by 30 November (for candidates intending to enrol in semester 1 of the following year) or 30 May (for candidates intending to enrol for semester 2).
