The University of Otago offers a number of entrance scholarships which can help pay for university study or residential accommodation expenses. You can apply to defer your entrance scholarship for up to one year.
How do I defer an entrance scholarship
If you would like to defer your entrance scholarship:
- Email the Manager, Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships at
entrance.scholarships@otago.ac.nz and include in your email:
- The reasons you would like to defer your entrance scholarship,
- A brief outline of what you plan to do whilst you're on deferral.
- The Entrance Scholarships team will then notify you of the outcome via email.
Not all scholarships can be deferred. For those that can, deferrals are normally granted for up to one year. Deferrals are unlikely to be granted where a recipient is studying at another tertiary institution at degree level prior to or during the scholarship tenure.
