How do I apply for a postgraduate publishing bursary

To apply for a postgraduate publishing bursary:

  1. Go to Postgraduate publishing bursaries
  2. Select and complete the appropriate master's or PhD publishing bursary form from the list.
  3. Obtain the signatures of your supervisor and head of department.
  4. Scan and email the completed form to publishing.bursary@otago.ac.nz

The form should be submitted within a month of submission of your thesis for examination.

When can I expect delivery

Doctoral candidates

Two-thirds of the total value of the bursary is paid directly into your bank account at the start of the bursary period. The remaining one-third is paid upon submission of a satisfactory report at the end of the period.

Master's candidates

Half of the total value of the bursary is paid directly into your bank account at the start of the bursary period. The remaining half is paid upon submission of a satisfactory report at the end of the period.
