An ID card can be obtained from the ID Card Office after you have completed your Student Declaration.

University of Otago Students that have completed their Student Declaration.
How do I obtain my ID card
To obtain your student ID card, you need to take one of these types of photo identification to the ID Card Office:
- 18+ Card
- Full passport
- Last year's University of Otago student ID card
- New Zealand Driver's Licence
- New Zealand Firearms Licence
No other types of identification are accepted. If you don't have one of the above, you can ask at the ID Card Office or the AskOtago Central Hub for a Proof of Identity form.
The ID card office is located at the Information Services Building, corner of Cumberland and Albany Streets, Dunedin.

How much does it cost
There is no charge to get your student ID card.
If your card is lost, stolen, or deliberately damaged, there will be a fee of $25 (plus GST) to get a replacement.
