When you are ready to submit your master's thesis for examination, you will need to follow the standard process.
Who is this available to
University of Otago students enrolled in a master's programme (normally research-only, but some taught master's programmes may include a thesis component).
How do I submit a master's thesis
To submit your master's thesis for examination:
- Advise your supervisor of your intention to submit at least two months prior to your intended date.
- Submit a final copy to Turnitin for a plagiarism check.
- When you are ready, you will need to submit:
- A digital PDF file of the thesis
- A signed Thesis submission declaration form (PDF 242KB). A digital signature is acceptable, and a photocopied or scanned declaration is acceptable as long as the signature is handwritten or digital – not typed
- Submit to the relevant area:
- In Dunedin, email to the administrator in your department/unit
- In Christchurch, email to: postgrad.uoc@otago.ac.nz
- In Wellington, email the administrator in your teaching department
