The University of Otago has a wide variety of automatic doors, in keeping with the University's design standards to ensure accessibility and mobility across campus.
These include:
- Accessible sliding doors
- Auto gates
- Automatic sliding doors
- Powered door openers
- Roller doors
Automatic doors are opened using buttons, swipe cards, sensors, or through powered assist, and are maintained by Electrical and Control Services.
An automatic door may be faulty due to a range of possible problems. Maintenance and repairs can be requested if problems arise. The Electrical and Control team address any issues promptly to ensure accessibility is maintained.
