Apply for conference travel funding – Health Sciences

Health Sciences students may apply for divisionally provided funding to attend conferences.

Who is this available to

PhD and DClinDent students who wish to attend a conference to present a paper.

How do I apply for conference travel funding

To apply for conference travel funding:

1. Request support from your supervisor to attend a conference relating to your research.
2. Refer to the Division of Health Sciences — PhD Travel Grants page for information.
3. Download the PhD Travel Application Form and Guidelines (opens in Word).
4. Complete all details.
5. Attach the following to your application:
   • Documentary evidence of your participation in the conference
   • A copy of the abstract of your paper
   • Evidence supporting the amount applied for
6. When complete, open the Postgraduate Travel Grant Form (PDF 281KB).
7. Complete all details.
8. Email the completed forms with attachments to: healthsciences.research@otago.ac.nz
