To enable a smooth transition for new parents returning to work after parental leave, the University provides a limited number of reserved car parks for new parents.
It is important to note that new parent parks will be allocated in a first-in, first-served manner. When there is high demand, car park allocation will be prioritised based on the parent who has the most need.

How do I apply for a new parent park
To apply for a new parent park:
- Open the Parking form.
- Complete all the required fields. Under Request type select New Parent Park.
- Provide any supporting documentation or information where necessary.
- Submit the form.
How much does it cost
New parent car parks are charged at the uncovered rate for a park, even if the park is covered. As of 1 March 2026, uncovered parks are charged at NZ$27.00 per week, including GST.
