Occasionally, certain triggers may activate the Bitlocker security features on a University of Otago-owned device.
To unlock the device, you require the device's Bitlocker recovery key.
How do I recover my Bitlocker key
To recover a Bitlocker key, from a secondary device:
- Log in to your account with the same user account you use to log into your device.
- Navigate to Devices on the panel at the left side of the screen.
- Select the device you require the Bitlocker key for.
- Click View Bitlocker Keys.
- Click Show recovery key.
- Enter the key on the locked device to unlock it.
