Freephone 0800 611 116 to contact Healthline if you need advice about your symptoms. Healthline is a free, 24-hour a day telephone health advice service funded by the Ministry of Health.
Healthline's registered nurses will assess your condition and health needs and recommend the best course of action and a timeframe in which to take action. They can also provide general health information and location of services.
Online GP
Online GP Consultations with registered healthcare professionals are available through Te Whatu Ora | Health New Zealand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can find out on the website if you are entitled to subsidies.
Urgent Doctors
Urgent appointments are available at Dunedin Urgent Doctors and Accident Centre on 18 Filleul Street, Dunedin from 8am to 10pm every day, tel +64 3 479 2900.
In Christchurch, Pegasus Health has a walk-in urgent care clinic open 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 401 Madras Street, tel +64 3 365 7777.
Wellington Accident and Emergency Clinic (WAMC) is open every day from 8am to 9pm at 17 Adelaide Road, Mount Cook (opposite McDonalds in the Basin Reserve), tel +64 4 384 4944. You will need to bring photo ID with you.
