Te Pou Whirinaki | Student Wellbeing Hub is a welcoming space that supports you throughout your study journey at Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka | University of Otago.
The hub offers a place to pause, reflect, and find direction, whether your studies are going well, feeling challenging, or somewhere in between.
Te Pou Whirinaki includes a team of Hauora Connectors and Peer Support who talk with you, offer guidance during your studies, and help you connect with the support that works for you.
Support available through Te Pou Whirinaki:
- Health and wellbeing support
- Early support with a preventative focus
- Practical skill development for holistic life and study balance
- Help navigating services on campus and in the wider community
- Referrals to other support services when needed
- A welcoming, safe, and inclusive space to relax or take a break, alone or with friends
- Workshops and group sessions
Hauora Connectors and Peer Support can:
- Walk alongside you throughout your study journey at the University
- Provide you with tools that support self-management
- Share resources that support your wellbeing and study
- Offer confidential one-on-one conversations
- Connect you with internal and external support
Te Pou Whirinaki is in the Information Services Building (ISB), opposite the west entrance of the Central Library.
