Semester codes help you understand the duration of your papers. For example, whether a paper you are taking is for a full year, or for semester 1 only.
The semester codes are as follows:
- S1 – Semester 1, 20 February 2026 to 17 June 2026
- S2 – Semester 2, 13 July 2026 to 7 November 2026
- FY – Full year, 20 February 2026 to 7 November 2026
- F2 – Foundation Year, February to June
- F3 – Foundation Year, June to October
- F4 – Foundation Year, October to February
- N1 to N8 – Non-standard period, start and end dates will vary for each specific paper
- SC – Short Course (including field trips), start and end dates will vary for each specific course
- SS – Summer School, 5 January 2026 to 19 February 2026
- T1 – Thesis semester 1, 1 January 2026 to 17 May 2026
- T2 – Thesis semester 2, 1 July 2026 to 13 November 2026
- TY – Thesis Full Year, 1 January 2026 to 27 December 2026
