Leaseholders of University of Otago car parks and secure bicycle cages are required to provide notice for cancellation of their lease.
Cancel a Parkable-managed car park lease
To cancel a car park lease managed using the Parkable app:
- Log in to the Parkable app or visit the Parkable website
- Select Permit.
- Select Cancel permit.
- Follow the prompts.
Once your permit is cancelled, you will be charged for one more month, minus any days already paid for in advance.
Cancel a departmentally funded car park lease
To cancel a departmentally funded car park lease, email: parking@otago.ac.nz with:
- Car park name and number
- Department name or account code charged for the park
- End date of the lease
- Head of department (or equivalent) approval
All departmentally funded parks require two weeks' written notice for cancellation.
Cancel a bicycle cage lease
To cancel the lease for a secure bicycle cage:
- Submit your enquiry using the AskOtago form below with the following details:

- Information regarding the location of the bicycle cage and how the bicycle cage is accessed should also be provided.
