The University of Otago provides options that staff, teams and departments can use to communicate with other staff, students, and members of the public on a large scale.
- Mailman lists (@lists.otago.ac.nz) are used by staff and students to communicate with lists of email addresses both in and outside of the University.
- Microsoft distribution groups are used by staff to communicate with groups of staff and students with email addresses on the University domain. These lists can include small groups within a team, project, or a large list of email addresses.
- One NZ multiTXT provides the University with the ability to send mass text message communications to any list of mobile phone numbers.
- Otago Digital Signage (DISE) allows staff to request that slides and images be displayed on the digital signage screens located across campus. The content of the DISE playlists is managed by administrative staff across the University.
