Description:

Access to StudentMail and Microsoft 365 will be removed from students who have finished studying at the University of Otago.
 
This is because former students are not eligible for the free Microsoft 365 licensing used by the University. Additionally, unused student email accounts are a security risk as compromised accounts are a frequent source of malicious email attacks.
 
This will not impact students who:
  • Are enrolled in the current or a future academic year
  • Are eligible to attend a graduation ceremony
  • Have the "Access to Resources" flag set to Yes in eVision
Former students who meet the eligibility criteria for account disabling will receive an initial email detailing the process and how to get assistance 3 weeks prior to the disabling date.
 
A further reminder will be sent one week prior to disabling.
