Tuition fees vary from course to course and will depend on the specific papers selected in any given semester or year. Fees are also different depending on whether you are an international or domestic student.

Payment due dates
There are due dates by which your fees are to be paid. Missing these deadlines may result in late fees being charged to you, so it is a good idea to note these dates:
Once you have selected your papers, check your account summary in the My Finances section of your eVision portal. You will also be able to see the deadline to have your fees paid by.
The invoice you receive before completing your declaration is only an estimate, and your final fees may change once your declaration is submitted. Fees are due by the date shown on your invoice.
If you make any enrolment changes after the invoice due date, you will receive an updated invoice showing your revised fees.
It is important that your fees are paid on time, so that you avoid a late payment fee of $100.00(NZD). You can pay your fees in part, as long as the total value (as indicated on your invoice) is paid by the due date. Fees cannot be paid in instalments throughout the year.
You may also need to pay a Student Services Fee
International students
International students are also required to pay for medical and travel insurance
International student fees are due at the same time as domestic fees. To pay tuition fees earlier than advertised due dates, due to student visa application requirements, make sure that your payment is made in enough time for you to receive a receipt and submit your application to meet the student visa application timeframes. The University of Otago due dates do not override any student visa application requirements for payment of tuition fees.
