You will be able to select your papers in eVision once you have received and accepted an offer of place to your chosen programme, and completed your annual details.
Returning students are able to select your papers as soon as paper selection opens, but it may be beneficial to wait until you have received results from your most recent study, so you know which papers you have met the prerequisites for. Paper selection and changes are available within set timeframes and may depend on whether you have completed your course enrolment declaration.
You are encouraged to consider your paper selection carefully and seek course advice where needed. Getting advice early can help you make informed choices and plan a course of study that supports your goals.
There are a number of reasons papers may not be available for selection, including that:
- Pre-requisites or co-requisites are not met. In some cases, results have not yet been published, or credit is yet to be applied
- There are limited places in the paper
- The programme has prescribed papers
- The paper is only available in a non-standard period and is not being offered for the year
- The paper selection would create a timetable clash
- In some cases, special permission may be granted to select a paper that is not otherwise available
Timetable clashes
Paper selections that include timetable clashes may not be accepted. You can check class times using the Web Timetable viewer before submitting your selection.
