Most international flights to New Zealand arrive in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch — you will have to collect your luggage and go through immigration and customs at the New Zealand airport you first arrive at from your international departure point. From there you will need to take a domestic flight to Dunedin. You should book your domestic flights at the same time as you make your international bookings.

Dunedin airport is approximately 30 minutes' drive from the centre of the city and the University campus.

If you are a new international student you may be able to arrange a subsidised airport transfer with Airport Shuttles to be taken to your accommodation.
